This is the story of how I got through the challenging period of spending time in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) with my baby. Depending on the situation, time spent in this unit could be any-where from one day to a year or more.

Fragile
Beginnings
As I reflect on my experiences, I am compelled to share this story, envisioning a resource/guide that would have been invaluable during my own time in the NICU. The accessibility of such guidance be-comes paramount when faced with a situation where no one truly understands what you are go-ing through.
In drafting this book,
I recognize the inadequacies in available support. Some hospitals lack equipped social workers, and even when present, their in -formation might be limited or basic. Nevertheless, I aim that this book will serve as a source of comfort and a practical guide for those navigating the chal-lenges of the NICU. Drawing from personal experi-ences, I will provide tips and resources that I be-lieve can be instrumental in not just surviving but thriving during this trying period.

Monique Brown is one of the many parents who survived the NICU experience as it is not for the faint of heart. A content creator and advocate who is aware of the physical and emotional turbulence associated with having a child in the Neonatal Intensive care Unit. Once her son was able to come home after 102 days in the NICU, Monique decided that it was her duty to help other parents in similar situations to overcome their fears.
