About me

Monique Brown is one of the many parents who survived the NICU experience as it is not for the faint of heart. A content creator and advocate who is aware of the physical and emotional turbulence associated with having a child in the Neonatal Intensive care Unit. Once her son was able to come home after 102 days in the NICU, Monique decided that it was her duty to help other parents in similar situations to overcome their fears.
More than a few life-threatening experiences such as her baby having a Near-death experience, fatal pregnancy, domestic abuse, and being homeless has made Monique a stronger individual , but it was through the grace of God that she was able to come out of all this. Her goal is to create a sense of hope and provide how-to guide. For parents that struggle with life in the NICU.
Fragile Beginnings is a narrative non-fiction book on the journey through the NICU written by Monique, chronicling the tears and the triumphs. She also makes products as NICU graduate certificate, meal planners, and journals/baby wellness log for parents. She is hoping to get many more things out in due time such as baby milestone cards, parent coaching, care package checklist, financial planning guide, a baby memory book tailored to NICU experience and an advocacy tool kit for communicating with medical professionals and dealing with the healthcare system.
Monique’s home is in Texas and she creates content that inspires, empowers and educates families and families for the hope of the NICU. Asides from writing or speaking on any topic related to NICU, Monique has a gift for talking about self-care, mental health and spirituality.
